This is particularly Facebook which as you know if you've been listening to me - Facebook is my favourite platform! If you are tuning in for the first time, listening to five minute online marketing podcast, I'm Nicky Leonti and as a sales funnel architect I'm here to help you implement the sales funnel that you know you should have for your business. Power editor: rather than boosted posts Today when we talk about using power editor rather than boosted posts some people may be thinking, "Oh my God I don't want to be doing this" but trust me it's definitely something you want to learn. I am going to be sharing a training on this so head to my website and check out how you can get into that. The reason why I am doing this episode? last week I had a client test. We are doing a launch and I wanted to optimise a fabulous Facebook live after our client had delivered a great show. We added captions and edited the post and it was some really good stuff. We did all the things you need to do before you use it as an ad. Once it's an ad you cannot make any changes to it so make sure you make all your changes first. But anyway, I get a bit sidetracked. We've had this beautiful Facebook Live, created great engagement. I thought brilliant it’s going to be great for one of the Ads for her launch, so I boosted that for her, I wanted to see whether the boosted post would do better than the post I created in power editor. I was running the exact same ad in Power editor. So I’ve gone into power editor, which is the main platform or tool that Facebook have in order to set up your ads in Facebook and Instagram. So power editor is ( I'm gonna tell you a little bit more about how in a second ) the results for this client test was important. I looked back after four days, seeing that in the first day the boost post was doing remarkably well. Probably twice as well as the Facebook Ad in power editor. After a three day period, the power editor Ad had significantly four times the number of clicks throughs as the boosted posts. So the boosted post had completely slowed down, that's the goal with Facebook they want you to spend your money quickly, to take quick action, so they're going to give you a real boost in engagement or action in the first day but then after that it’s kind of going to fizzle out. In power editor and the algorithm behind it, once you've been running an ad for a little bit of time, can sense the type of people that are clicking through and converting. It really refines the audience so that it actually ends at those particular people, the boosted ad doesn't really do that. We definitely found for the results; the boosted ad was great in the first day but then fizzled out and the power editor was really ramping up after that 3rd day. I really want you to think about using power editor as your on going Facebook ads tool. Make sure you have a strategy behind it. I find a lot of people who are boosting post don't necessarily have a strategy behind it, whereas if you're at a level of using power editor you're much more likely to have a proper strategy behind your Facebook ads. Power editor, I do actually go into a bit more detail in power editor, over in episode number 12… I will link to that in the show notes. There are three stages of using power Editor. I go through, in detail, in episode 12… go and check that out. I really want you to think about using power editor. Make sure you have a strategy for your Facebook ads. When you're running ads I want to make sure you have ads to get cold traffic or cold leads. These are people who've never heard from you. You want to make sure you're getting new leads all the time so that's your cold traffic. Make sure that you're also sending ads to your existing audience and then I want you to be sending ad... Power editor: rather than boosted posts

Today when we talk about using power editor rather than boosted posts some people may be thinking, "Oh my God I don't want to be doing this" but trust me it's definitely something you want to learn. I am going to be sharing a training on this so head to my website and check out how you can get into that.

Ben: Yeah. Though it is night-time here and it's actually DeCastro; I'm not related to Fidel or any of the Cuban family there, so don't worry, it's a common…it happens all the time but it's night time here and I'm the voice of the Pawtucket Red Sox which is the team right before the players get to the Boston Red Sox so I'm the stadium announcer, so I get that fun job of…Your attention, fans. Now batting for the PawSox…Number 38, centre fielder, Bruce Lancastillo(?) Nicky: Fantastic. And Ben and I actually met in a social media marketing group and this group is just quite incredible. I love it; I'm always getting stuff out of it and I guess the way I like to work with my clients and in my group and things like that is kind of break it down even further to make it simple that people can actually implement because I find that us marketing geeks like to know all the ins and outs and the latest stuff; that's not always applicable to everyone and you can kind of get overwhelmed with the amount of new things that you can try, so today I really want to get into about how did you grow your business, what are some of the things you did in the early stages and what kind of things are you working on at the moment? Ben: Yeah, well it's great questions. So, I am a social media marketing coach and that's really where I focused and I started, launched my business about a year ago independently. Prior to that I was the marketing and promotion PR consultant or person, rather, for a large furniture retailer in the New England area up here in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, we kind of covered the whole North East and so for fifteen years I dealt with a budget that was well over ten million dollars so far as advertising and being that it was fifteen years that I did that, I saw the rise and fall of a lot of different new initiatives so they had the whole dot.com boom come out and that kind of levelled off and then we've had some social media sites that have risen to the top and have done excellent, and we've had others that have kinda come in and then they kinda fade out real quick, so, being part of that and really seeing how all that works on a furniture side, decided to turn more into a personal brand as I've been a musician my entire life, I started playing accordion when I was five; played drums, played piano and everything, actually in 2000 I played keyboards for Ringling Brothers Circus which, if you been following in the news recently, closed but have a lot of friends that unfortunately were part of that whole closure but it was a really cool part of my life, List Building - Social Media - Sales Funnels

Prior to that I was the marketing and promotion PR consultant or person, rather, for a large furniture retailer in the New England area up here in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, we kind of covered the whole North East and so for fifteen years I dealt with a budget that was well over ten million dollars so far as advertising and being that it was fifteen years that I did that, I saw the rise and fall of a lot of different new initiatives so they had the whole dot.com boom come out and that kind of levelled off and then we've had some social media sites that have risen to the top and have done excellent, and we've had others that have kinda come in and then they kinda fade out real quick, so, being part of that and really seeing how all that works on a furniture side, decided to turn more into a personal brand as I've been a musician my entire life, I started playing accordion when I was five; played drums, played piano and everything, actually in 2000 I played keyboards for Ringling Brothers Circus which, if you been following in the news recently, closed but have a lot of friends that unfortunately were part of that whole c...]]>

Episode 81: How getting into the media can grow your audience http://www.nickyleonti.com/episode-81-getting-media-can-grow-audience/ Sun, 30 Jul 2017 19:30:42 +0000 http://www.nickyleonti.com/?p=2960 Episode 81: How getting into the media can grow your audience This weeks episode is a little different. Over the next few weeks you will be hearing real life stories from people who have used a range of online marketing strategies to grow their audience and turn their passion into a business. Todays interview is with Kelly Azavedo from ShesGotSystems.com who is going to be sharing how to use the media to grow your audience and build your business. Kelly and I joined Natalie McNeil's Retreats over in Mexico two years ago and Kelly really helped me sort out my systems; that was, I think, the biggest take-away for me because I was about to start to change my business to really model it for having children so that I had a bit of a system in place so I could take some maternity leave and yeah, Kelly really helped me with that, so your whole business is focused on systems. She's Got Systems is talking about creating systems for your business and that was a big shift for me. I felt like it went from me just playing around with my business and clients to really having systems in place and it was like this big step up for me, so can you just tell me a little bit about She's Got Systems, about what you're doing. Kelly: Yeah, I really came to the belief that every entrepreneur needs systems to do their best work and to do what they love because too many times when we're beginning, we just make it up as we go along; we try things, it doesn’t work: we try things, they work great. We don't know why it works and creating the system for why this is working and how to duplicate it really takes you from being an amateur to the professional level and what I try to remind people of is that companies like Amazon, companies like McDonalds, companies like Banks, they know what works, they know what advertising works, they know what promotions work and they do it over and over again because they have a Board of Directors and shareholders that want them to be successful and if you want to, not necessarily start a big corporation, but if you want to get the same kind of consistent success, increasing your income, or even just decreasing your stress and having more flexibility to do what you want to do and not be tied down, you've got to have a system for all those things that you do; it allows you to delegate, it allows you to go on vacation or have maternity leave and it really gives you more freedom because systems aren't about putting yourself in a box and you're a machine; it's about giving you structure so that you're not spending an hour trying to figure out how to respond to a client question, or spending half a day writing a blogpost because you know you need to do it but you're just so lost every time you try that it takes ages. And systems will really help with everything that you do. Nicky: Yep, excellent. I think that's how I felt; I was able to grow my business because I could automate it but also I could delegate: that was the biggest thing for me. I just didn't know what to delegate because I was just…I didn't even know how I did things because I just automatically did it. I knew that there was particular images I used all the time were in my Downloads folder on my computer and I'm thinking, well, no one else can find that if they need it, if something happened, so I think for me, setting that up was amazing. So, how did you get to creating this? What was your background to create She's Got Systems? Kelly: Well I say I was kind of born into it because my Dad's an engineer and we had rules about how to pack the car for vacation and how to do this and how to do that and he was very structured in the way he liked things done so I very early on was just a very organised kid and I liked having a process for studying or if my friends and I were going to an out of city baseball game, I was the one organising everything, so that came very naturally to me but when I started working for entrepreneurs, List Building - Social Media - Sales Funnels

This was a question from one of my beautiful members in my Facebook group, because she was really struggling with, why should I keep posting stuff if no one even sees it? If no one's engaging; I don’t get any Likes, I don't get any Comments, I don't get any Shares: what's the point of this? Well, I'm going to give you some information here, because it took me a lot of time to build my business. It took a couple of years to really start getting that audience, getting that engagement and I still have a fairly small audience. However, I have a thriving business, so it doesn't matter the size of your audience. You may have thousands and thousands of followers, but if you don't know how to run a business and give value, then what is the point of creating that audience? What is the point of supporting these people if you're then having to go and get another job and you cannot do this as your business? So, again, it's not the size of the followers, it's the amount of engagement you're going to get, even if it's just a couple of people that are engaging with you, it's still important never to give up. If you give up, obviously that's it, there's no point continuing, you're not going to achieve any results because you have given up. But it can take time and I really want to share this with you because for me, this was a real eye-opener. I'd been posting lots of stuff on social media for ages and again, wasn't getting a whole lot of engagement. Then, I shifted and changed my strategy. I asked for engagements: I asked for it, I shared in groups, I answered people's questions in groups and they came looking for me because I was always the one giving value and supporting people in Facebook groups; never asking for the sale, simply offering value, so that's important. Head into groups where your audience hangs out and be of value in those groups. Support those groups and make sure people can find your business page by having that in the About section on your personal profile, so people can come and find you. Create content that is actually engaging. Ask questions, get people to take action. At the end of every single one of my podcast episodes, I have an actionable task that I want people to do. I also have a weekly challenge in our Facebook group that I want people to take action on, so this is important, actually asking for the engagements. Now, Facebook Live is a great way to start getting engagement. It may take a few Facebook Lives, it may take time to share that; you can also boost that and start to get people to see that, hey, she's going live and maybe she's doing it every week at the same time and she's offering great value: I want to follow her. If you want to learn a bit more about Facebook Live, check out this Episode 77 where I shared with you exactly how to use Facebook Live for Business and creating engagement is one of those ways. Now, it's important not to give up. You really have to continue because I hardly had anyone commenting or sharing but I still had people asking me for my services, purchasing my programmes, purchasing packages from me because they kept seeing how consistent I was. They never Liked or Commented or Shared anything that I did but they were just sitting in the background, looking at it. Obviously nowadays, Facebook doesn't reward us if we're not getting much engagement from our posts so you really do need to ask for the engagement; you also need to make sure that the content you're putting out is visually pleasing and attracting enough that people will see it, List Building - Social Media - Sales Funnels Episode 78: Why You Shouldn’t Give Up When No One Is Engaging With Content

How to use Facebook Live for Business http://www.nickyleonti.com/77-2/ Sun, 02 Jul 2017 19:30:33 +0000 http://www.nickyleonti.com/?p=2779 window.addEventListener('LPLeadboxesReady',function(){LPLeadboxes.addDelayedLeadbox('140c18f73f72a2:14f0a435d346dc',{delay:'10s',views:0,dontShowFor:'0d'});}); Episode 77: How to use Facebook Live for Business This episode is all about how to use Facebook Live for Business Using Facebook Live Video to grow your business is one of the best ways to really incorporate on social media right now. Video is core in keeping people engaged because people's attention spans are minute, but Facebook Live allows them to actually interact with you in real time and when people are following you on social media. Create Deeper Connection with your Audience They really create this kind of persona of who you are and when they see you on Facebook Live and you're like, "Hey Nicky, how are you?" they get really excited and they feel heard, they feel listened to and people are looking for connection now. Facebook Live allows people to ask questions, it allows them to engage with you and connect with you, more so than any other kind of content that we can put out there. Higher Organic Reach The second reason why Facebook Live is brilliant for your business in growing your business is that video has a much higher organic reach than anything else right now, and especially Facebook Live. Facebook loves its Facebook Live feature and will continue to create, allow a higher organic reach for your Facebook Live. It also notifies people who are following you that you are going live, which is just brilliant. It also means that people do not have to go to a new platform to see you. People Are Already On This Platform If you want to run a webinar doing a Facebook Live is such a great way, especially people who are maybe not on your email list yet or things like that, having them not have to go to a whole new platform does increate the likelihood of people turning up and seeing you, especially because they get that notification that you're going live. Now, something else that I've recently learned about Facebook and the whole algorithm chaos is that longer videos on Facebook actually get higher reach, because they feel as though the content is creating more quality, so a longer video tends to have a higher reach, so that's really important. Another reason how Facebook Live can get higher reach is because generally people starting liking, commenting and things like that which is not as common on other content strategies, so if you're just using images and just a loaded video, you're not encouraging people to engage, there's less engagement and therefore a less organic reach. Tools that I use One of the tools I've used for a couple of months is called BeLive,tv. Now, that allows me to invite guests interview on and we do our Facebook Live: you can schedule it, it posts the schedule and reminder on your Facebook page; you can also post it in Facebook groups as well, so this is a great tool to use, although I find the quality is not as good. However, my internet is not fantastic here in little Australia, the internet is absolutely abysmal! However, I do know that BeLive.tv, the quality isn't as good as what I get on my phone, so that is something to think about but it is great if you're doing Q&A; you can actually bring the question up in text in front, on the screen, which is brilliant. That's really simple to use as well. Another tool that I've played around with is called OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). OBS allows you to again, schedule onto Facebook, it links with Facebook and you can put video in there, you can put your logo up in the top corner; you can also put text overlay, video overlays and you can also screenshare. If you're doing some kind of webinar or tutorial, then you can actually put that, share your screen onto the Facebook Live and that's the same as the next tool I'm about to share with you, Ecamm Live. That does all of those things that OBS does but it also allows you to bring up the comments, List Building - Social Media - Sales Funnels Episode 77: How to use Facebook Live for Business

This episode is all about how to use Facebook Live for Business

Using Facebook Live Video to grow your business is one of the best ways to really incorporate on social media right now. Video is core in keeping people engaged because people's attention spans are minute, but Facebook Live allows them to actually interact with you in real time and when people are following you on social media.

Create Deeper Connection with your Audience
They really create this kind of persona of who you are and when they see you on Facebook Live and you're like, "Hey Nicky, how are you?" they get really excited and they feel heard, they feel listened to and people are looking for connection now. Facebook Live allows people to ask questions, it allows them to engage with you and connect with you, more so than any other kind of content that we can put out there.

We really need to be selling people into handing over their email addresses, so it's not just like, here's some free crap that I created: come and download it; people are just not going to fall for that any more. Sign up to my newsletter: again, that is not going to convert people to your email list. You need to be creative, you need to be really, really listening to your potential clients: your customers, your audience, you need to find out what they're really looking for. How I got started First of all, this was back in 2013 I think it was, I started a blog and it was all about family day-care, which was one of the first things I ever wrote about because I was doing family day-care and I just felt like people wanted information and that blog is still thriving today. I get a lot of subscribers every week, people purchase online programs through that, it is going really well, but how I started was I just started writing a blogpost. I was super-consistent: every week I would do a blogpost, every week I would add a video to YouTube and I would be sharing on Facebook my journey so there was nothing to sell. I wasn't selling anything at the time, I was really just sharing. I was genuinely concerned and wanting to support all of the people who were interested, so there was a genuine passion there, which you need to make sure you do have a genuine concern for your potential audience and clients. I was genuinely concerned what people were looking for, I wanted to really support them. I was just writing and the content that I found was most helpful was all about exactly where do I start to build my own family day-care, I created a three-part training video. Again, it could be any kind of opt-in, any structure that you like but I really found this worked super-well because video helps people connect with who you are and what you're about, so it really builds that trust and video nowadays is even more popular than it was back then and even back then it was very easy to grow my email list, I created a three-part training video. I had the email sequence and then I just started writing about it, I would share it in groups and I ran some ads for people to opt in, so ads were pretty new back then, they were super-cheap and I think I had over 600 subscribers and I had three email subscribers before I did this and then it got to 600 in a matter of weeks and I was promoting it everywhere. I was telling people how amazing this free training was, there was nothing to be sold and it was all about that free training so I would be on my Facebook page telling people about it, I would be giving people in-depth information, I was doing hand-outs, I was really just committed to that for a good probably six weeks, I was committed to creating, building that email subscriber base and it was brilliant and it worked very well and I know that you can do the same thing. How you can too! Creating systems to help you run your business is a really important part but it's usually one of those things that are left to the end, so once you've done everything and you've achieved a few things, you create systems or only when it's really absolutely crucial, such as when you're hiring somebody. I always suggest, especially if you're just in the first year or two of business, to start running your systems and setting them up now because it's so much easier rather than having to write systems for every single thing you do. If you do it as you go: perhaps you're starting a new blogpost or you're starting a new podcast or YouTube channel, or whatever it is that you're doing, creating a system as you go is so important and is going to save you a lot of time. Why have systems? First of all, I want you to think about, why have systems? There's a couple of reasons why we would have systems in place. The first thing is it just makes things simpler, you're not having to think of everything that you do every single time that you go to do it and usually, we only create systems once someone is employed with us or maybe we get a contractor or a VA or something like that. However, having systems just for yourself is important to see the process and also where you can cut back: Are you duplicating things too often? Can you streamline things? Is there elements that you could automate? It makes you really thing about all of the things that you're doing in business. One of the main complaints I hear with people when they're starting out is, I'm just so busy, I'm working twelve hours a day and it's crazy. But quite often, they're just doing things in the wrong order or they're duplicating a lot of tasks that are unnecessary, so, creating systems is important to really fine-tune your whole process. Who is using your systems? The second thing I want you to think about is, who is actually going to be using them? For your systems, it's important to know who is using them so you know what you need to be including in the systems. Have you got a VA that's going to be using them? Have you got someone in-house that's going to be using your systems and doing particular tasks? Is it going to be outsourced just whenever you've got the money or whenever you haven't got the time to do them? Is it ad hoc and it's just going to be something that needs to be super-super explained because you're not going to be around to explain any of it for that person? Working out who's going to be using them is really important. What tasks do you do all of the time? You really need to think about all of the tasks that you do all of the time, so this is a really good place to start. You do want to have systems for any tasks that you do in your business, but this is a great place to start, writing a list of what tasks you do all of the time. I'm sure that you're doing social media quite frequently: how do you do it? Do you use a camera phone to create an image? Do you use a particular template? When do you post? Where do you get your quotes from or where do you get your content from? Are you just making it up? Are you sharing it? Are there particular pages that you follow and that give you inspiration and do you share their content? Do you have a particular schedule? All of those kind of things need to be in your system, so thinking of those tasks, I'm going to give you a really clear example. This particular podcast episode doesn't happen by chance! There is a whole system involved and I've actually written it all down and I'm going to share it with you, List Building - Social Media - Sales Funnels Episode 75: How To Set Up Systems For Your Business

This episode is all about using Facebook messenger as part of your Marketing strategy. We're talking all about Facebook Messenger Marketing and how this could help your business. There's been so much happening out there: we've got Facebook Messenger, we've got Instagram Direct Message, we've got Twitter Messages; we've got messages coming out of everywhere and I really am focusing on Facebook Messenger, but a lot of the reasoning behind growing your Facebook Messenger database can apply to each of the online social media platforms that you're on. Now, remember, you don't have to be on every single social media platform to make it worth your while. I do really recommend focusing on two core ones, based on where your audience is hanging out. Be sure that you have got the time and resources to really focus on at least one, possibly two, but if you do have a whole team of people supporting you with social media, then by all means knock yourself out. Facebook Messenger Marketing is relatively new, so things will continue to change over the next months, years, but the purpose of this is to really create a deeper connection with our audience. Now, that is something we all want to do, so social media has become harder and harder; it's become noisier and noisier for marketing and Zuckerberg really has got his user in mind, not the marketing people or us doing business, so the user is the focus of the Facebook and all social media platforms, and so it should be, so it is becoming noisier. One of the things I've really noticed and I'm sure you have as well, is that people will actually answer their Facebook messages a hell of a lot quicker than when they're answering their emails. In fact, emails have become so bombarded with sales-y stuff that people are really not spending a lot of time answering their emails as opposed to answering Facebook messages. Keep in mind that Facebook Messenger's messages are still really that kind of private element of people, so it's like what the email inbox used to be like, so we don't want to just be going in and spamming people, because that is going to really piss off anyone who may have wanted to work with you, so this is how it works. You can connect with people on your page via the Messenger App, and you can also do ads that have the Messenger as a destination, so you can set up the ads using Facebook Ads, Ads Manager, Power Editor and the destination is Messenger, so that people can actually click through and send a message to you. You can also do ads that sit in the side Facebook Messenger, so these are a few different ways, so those are the three core ways that we're using Facebook Messenger for marketing. Connecting or contacting followers through Messenger Creating Facebook ads that encourage people to send a message to you Creating ads that sit inside Facebook Messenger So, when we start creating ads, obviously we're going to start getting some feedback; we're going to get people actually responding and sending messages to us, and there's a couple of things that you could do. Now, the first thing is you could be on there manually and reply to these messages and if you've got a fairly small audience, you're just starting out, then that's probably fine, especially if you're still trying to determine what your message is. This is a really great way to connect with people, so that is something you can do, you can have an automated response set up through your Facebook page and it could just be, "Thanks so much for your question", or "Thanks so much for getting in touch, I will reply asap", and kind of give people a bit of a time-frame, depending on how often you're using Messenger. The other option is what we call a ChatBot. Now that could sound really technical, but it's not as technical as you think. There is a tool called ManyChat, and it's a tool that can help you connect with your audien... Here is a little summary of the interview...

Q1. Starting an online business takes a lot of work and certainly doesnt happen overnight. What were the top things you did in the beginning that created the greatest momentum?
A. Take a stand on what you believe. ‘Brandstand’ has helped Natalie get more into larger media. Be Consistent. Provide content to your audience on a consistent basis.

Q2. I would love to know if there was a tipping point where you actually thought 'She Takes on The World is now my full time gig!'. What was it that made you think that?
A. Having a mindset shift and being ‘all in’!

3. There is so much debate out there about what your list size should be before you launch anything, I would love to know what your list size was before you launched your first digital product.
A. My list was 2000 before I launched a digital product but I wish I had started earlier. I learnt a lot of lessons in the beginning and I wish I had started sooner to learn those lessons sooner.

4. Now you do incredible launches I would really love to know your top 3 tips for leading into a launch. How do you interact with your audience in the month or 2 beforehand? How much do you give away before the official launch begins?
A. We focus on building our list and teasing our current audience. We mention the launch without giving away too many details.

5. What do you think an entrepreneur needs (personality/character wise) to be successful?

A. Always willing to listen
Ask for help
Practice resiliance

People come to me wanting to create some forms of passive income. This is exactly what todays episode is all about. Here is a summary of the episode: Brainstorm ideas: what do people ask you a lot? what do you love to do? what are other people doing? Break it down: 1 topic could be too big so you could break it down in to smaller sections. Decide on a platform: ebook, audio, published book, online course Test it: ask your audience, ask existing clients, promote before selling (if you have no one else to ask!) I think you will like this one! Here is a summary of the episode: When I started my first successful blog I was creating content ALL of my spare time. I realised this wasn’t interesting to read for my audience and my life felt drained! There will be ebbs and flows of how much time you spend working. It will vary on the stage of the business you are at and it will also depend on what projects you have going on. When I stopped to think about how this was all impacting my life, I started writing about it. I let go of the mask that was showing the ‘perfect life’ and people felt more connected. I started showing my faults and my skills. It made me more of a person in my audiences’ eyes. When I started to have more of a life I had more to write about! I now schedule exercise and down time into my working hours so that I don’t burn myself out. I’m my biggest asset in my business. If I’m burnt out, there isn’t really much of a business. In todays episode I talk about the different tools and software that I use to create my videos on a budget! Here is a summary of the episode: having a good microphone will make all the difference! I have 2, an iPhone hands free set as well as a basic microphone you can buy here. The software I use for videos is a combination of PhotoBooth (for a Mac) and then I edit it in Screenflow. I also use Screenflow to do how-to videos or slide videos. I have designed my own backdrop which is simply a display banner I created using Vistaprints easy tools. My banner cost $100 and it really impacts the branding of my videos. I have set up my desk so that the backdrop has my banner as well as my bookshelf and aligned books. The key is to keep people engaged with the backdrop but not distracted! There are some amazing video backdrop creators out there and I will get one down the track. You can check out Emma from Bespoke Backdrops. That’s my dream goal to have one of her backdrops for my videos! YouTube or Vimeo or Wistia? http://www.nickyleonti.com/25/ Wed, 09 Sep 2015 19:30:47 +0000 http://www.nickyleonti.com/?p=1839 Episode 25: YouTube or Vimeo or Wistia? This is the first episode of a short series all about using videos for your online marketing. In todays episode we cover how to batch your creating blocks without losing inspiration. Here is a summary of the episode: The goal of all marketing is to be consistent. In order to be consistent you need to be organised. There is a big difference with being consistent and providing quality content. Go for quality any day rather than quantity. For social media platforms I suggest a minimum of 1 post per day. For blogs/podcasts/videos/emails I suggest a weekly routine. This can be hard to maintain so I batch my creation time. Work out how long it takes you to create your main creations (Facebook images/blog posts/videos/emails) and schedule in a monthly block (or every 3 months if you are organised enough) of time so that you can schedule everything to go. I always look for other pages where I know my audience also enjoys and repost their content (always share a post rather than cut/paste to ensure credit is given to the original poster). Be sure to post content relevant to what is going on in the real world. I thought to myself, I want to really connect with my audience on a whole new level and I really want them to be able to get some useful information when they are in the first few years of their business. This is why I created 5 Minute Online Marketing Podcast and each week I am going to have a whole new episode. The episodes are around 5 minutes long and will give you a tip to optimise your Online Marketing that you can implement for the week ahead. They will come out each Monday morning so that you can get some inspiration and direction for your marketing for the week. If you want to read more about my personal story then I suggest you check out this blog post I wrote to give you an idea of where I have come from and who I am.
