{Part 6 of 6} The secret sauce to close your sale

I just want to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your time. I know there are so many other things that are begging for your attention. So thank you for trusting that I can help you understand sales funnels and give you solid strategies and tips to make them work for your business.

In this series I have given you A LOT of information about sales funnels and some clear strategies on how you can get a simple sales funnel up and running.

Now I want to share the secret sauce. This is going to help you CLOSE those leads. Generating leads is great. BUT that’s not how you grow your business. Closing those leads is where it’s at.

Being able to CLOSE a lead in an automated email sequence can take some refining.

It really depends on what your product/service is that will dictate as to what your final step of your funnel is BEFORE you add the secret sauce. I’ll tell you the secret sauce in a second.

The final step of a sales funnel will depend on the price point of the product or service you are selling.

As a VERY general rule. Anything under $2k you could potentially sell via a webinar, email series and sales page.

Anything under $700 you could potentially just sell via an email series and sales page.

Anything under $97 you could just sell via an email sequence.

Anything OVER $2k it would be ideal to get them on the phone to have a chat about it. There will inevitably be some questions. There will be some objections that you will have to address. They will need reassurance that you can get them the result they are looking for.

So I want you to think about how this vital piece of information I just shared with you will impact the final stages of your sales funnel. Can you end it with an email sequence and sales page? Do you need to add a webinar or two? Do you need to invite them onto a call?

Once you have clarified that. You are ready to add the secret sauce.

This is something that is so important BUT in a way it’s not essential if you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. You could still run your sales funnel without this. But I know you will want to add this at some point.

This is something I added in my very first launch without realising that it was so important.

You may already have some of this secret sauce. I don’t know.

Anyway, the secret sauce is adding a BONUS.

BONUSES are what make people follow through with their purchase.

BONUSES are what make people buy NOW as opposed to in a month or so.

BONUSES mixed with SCARCITY will mean the difference between closing strong and fizzling out.

You don’t just want to add any old bonus. It needs to be good. It needs to be fully aligned with what you are selling in the first place.

You can also have multiple bonuses.

You could have a bonus for people buying during your webinar.

You could have a bonus for people buying before a certain date.

You could have a bonus for people who pay in full (as opposed to taking up your payment plan).

There are so many options. To make your bonus/es work really well you need to plan them in advance. This was a mistake that I made. I was really making them up on the fly and I know that they could have been better than what I offered. They could have been better if I had planned them out properly.

BUT that’s the beauty of online marketing. You can tweak things and go again. As I said in an earlier email. It’s easier to steer a moving car than a parked car.

So don’t be overwhelmed with what bonuses you are going to do where. I want you to think of 1 key bonus that people will be begging for that you can add to your sales funnel when people purchase.

Some ideas of actual bonuses are:

1. Repackaging a video training that you’ve done before or some webinar that was valuable.

2. Creating checklists or summaries that align with the offering you are selling.

3. Repackaging interviews that you’ve done with guests.

There are so many options available. It’s all about thinking outside of the box.

I personally have a bonus for people who work with me. I can’t tell you what it is because it’s a secret. BUT it’s good. It’s really good. 9/10 people who work with me take up that bonus offer.
